Blues, Funk with some
Bop n' Swing & Rock Classics!
The Story
Who could have predicted that a jazz bass-playing funk and soul maestro, who studied saxophone and jazz in Texas, a school teacher from Denmark who came here three years ago with his red 335 and a few trips to Mississippi under his belt, and a drummer from Cleveland, who has played and toured around the country, would, without knowing each other, by chance be called together at the now-defunct Old Town Public House in Cornelius, and end up playing simple and straightforward music rooted in the '70s, funk, soul, and of course blues. What started as an open blues jam has now, many gigs later, become both a weekly opportunity for musicians and friends to meet and jam, and a small trio with great enthusiasm for playing, lots of drive, smiles, and a high musical level.
We love to play, and we love the immediate, just as we love funk, soul and blues, jazzy vibes and a good and tight groove. Also individually are music educators. See you out there!
